About Us

Owner, Steve Goodman, (aka Mr. G) has been in the hospitality business for 40 years. He began his career at the Meadowland Sports Complex, spending 15 years overseeing the restaurants, concessions and catering operations. From there, he joined a great family business, Frank Pombo’s Bethwood, where he served as General Manager for nearly 25 years, helping to make The Bethwood one of the most popular and successful catering facilities in the state.

With the inception of Mr. Geez, Steve fulfills his dream of opening a restaurant that combines fresh, made from scratch cooking with the feeling of comfort and home. He’s joined in this endeavor by his “dream team” – his son, Michael, and wife, Debbie. A family run business, Mr. Geez is the perfect neighborhood eatery where friends, family and co-workers can enjoy a delicious homemade breakfast or lunch.
